Used for testing, calibration and verification of redox/ORP sensors. Redox Buffer, 220mV, Reagecon™ is a ready to use solution of iron salts, including potassium ferrocyanide and tripotassium hexacyanoferrate, for use with reactions with a redox potential of 220mV.

Redox (reduction–oxidation) reactions cause an electron transfer process that can be measured using a Redox or ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) electrode. Redox is an absolute measurement expressed in millivolts. During its working life, a Redox electrode undergoes no change of zero point or slope. Therefore, redox electrodes do not require calibration. A control standard controls the functionality of the sensing and reference electrode, and also controls the analyst's technique, environmental conditions and the operation of the measurement meter.
